It seems we have survived a month more.
Don't start laughing: it was not easy.
Surviving is the hardest Ukrainian business nowadays.
In two words, the situation from the beginning of March was like this: Ukrainian government (interim); Putin's troops at the door, ready to swallow us all and The World with a bucket of popcorn watching what happens next.
Putin (to The World): just look at this government. Highly irrational. They can't keep calm, they will have a civil war in a minute and they are disturbing my sleep. Let me help them. If they have a war, I'll enter and help. I'll keep them calm and peaceful, and everything will remain OK.
The World: hmmm very likely, but what Ukraine thinks of it?
Putin (to Ukraine): say yes! Say yes you agree and I let you live, I won't swallow you all, just a half, and your silly interim government can rule the remaining part - with a bit of financial help from me, haha.
The World: OK Ukraine. If you interim guys can really rule, just show it. Keep it peaceful and we will be able to help you later. But if you can't Putin comes and swallows you all.

And the rock'n'roll started. It was a pretty nice show. Putin tried it all. He could not openly come. He had to pretend it was a civil war, not an invasion. And he had a plan. First, his troops appeared in the Crimea - he had a military base over there, and some of his troops were legally present there. They seized the local Parliament and pretended to be local people protesting against the new government. The new government's problem was that they could not let our troops to shoot back. The order was: NO WAR. No war - but Putin wanted it really badly. And even more strange thing began.

Putin's troops were not attacking: they were provoking. They blocked Ukrainian military buildings but not entered them; they came and went; they moved around them but did not attack; they did not shoot but they screamed insults and let some civilians go forward and throw stones and break the windows and so on.
They wanted to do the same in all the big Eastern cities (and they still are trying!) - with Putin's troops, 200,000 of them, alongside the border. They were provoking at the border (and they still are). It was a scary thing, you know. With all that tanks and rockets moving too close to my house. It was very easy for the government guys to panic and think they really are under attack. And try to retaliate. Ukraine still has an army, you know.

But the brilliant government guys understood Putin's trick.
And withstood it. They have courage enough. Even when they received secret intelligence data about a helicopter squad flying on Kyiv, they did not give the order to shoot. They never retaliated. They were cursed by everyone in the country. They were asked to arm the people, to move the army, to let us fight. They did not.
They were right.
Now when the month has passed and Ukrainian Minister of the Esterior was called to take part at NATO meeting, the truth can be told. We won this step. We survived. Putin is very powerful and he took the Crimea, but he could not swallow us all. And the World claps their hands (not in a public way, of course, but you have me here to know it, don't you? :))
Go to my webcam and see Yats the Prime Minister - and thank him with me. (Yatsenyuk is the full guy's name).
And thank Turchinov the President.
Great guys. We still have no WW3 started. I love you. I love every Ukrainian soldier who did not shoot. I love every girl who fed the blocked soldiers. I love every wife and sister who helped their husband and brother to resist.
Glory to Ukraine, my friends.

Watching Yatsenyuk on TV.

It seems Russia is starting another Gas War, even worse than the one in 2009.

Keep tight, my European friends.

From now on, it will be quite bumpy.
