a truley wonderful abstract, reflections don't get as much respect as they should and i suppose thats whats struck me abut this work, i like the look of this picture it gives a feeling of oil and movement, this reflection isnt just a refelection, its abstract art, it pulls the viewer into it and you start to dismantle it but you can only get so far because it stops you, why? because theres so much to take in, especially in one viewing.

theres a touch of "Pollock" in this work, some people would say that he principles and elements of art are also really important, more important when painting your own work, but to see those elements in a reflection takes a good eye and you really do have to see .... if only everyone could open their eyes then we'd get more wonderful work like this ...

Mary has used the camera lens to express a mixture of inspiration, spirituality and fascination, its colourful and confusing at times, scattered in places, rough in some areas but smooth in others ... amazing in that its a reflection and i wonder if i saw the the whole thing as one piece if i would understand it even more ... maybe not but then whats reflective art is all about.
